1. Who is responsible for paying duties and taxes on international shipments?
For international orders, the recipient (Consignee) is responsible for any applicable duties and import taxes upon delivery. These charges are not included at checkout in our store and must be paid directly to customs when receiving your order.
2. How much is the import duty?
Customs duty rates vary by country and depend on the tariff policies of the destination.
Please note: We use USPS First Class for international shipping, and customs duty amounts are determined by your country’s regulations.
For packages shipped via USPS First Class, we generally declare an invoice value between $20 USD and $150 USD and mark the package as a gift to help minimize import duties. However, final charges are subject to your country’s customs policies.
3. How do we help reduce your import tax?
If you have specific requirements for the declared invoice value, please email us at contact@frigidairer.com. We can adjust the declared value accordingly. If no specific instructions are provided, we typically declare an amount between $20 USD and $150 USD, depending on the package’s weight and size.
4. What happens if your package faces customs clearance issues?
If your package encounters customs clearance issues, we will cover the clearance fees and provide you with the shipping invoice, which you may need to present to customs. Additionally, we will assist by coordinating with USPS to help resolve the matter.
